About the company

Ehituse ABC is the oldest and most experienced retail and wholesale chain of construction materials in Estonia. The first store was opened by the Famar-Desi company in 1995, but it was given the name Ehituse ABC only in 1999. Today, the company belongs to the Saint-Gobain group, which is one of the 100 most successful companies in the world, but the name of the chain is still used. There are 11 stores in Estonia, the largest of which is located in Tallinn at Peterburi tee 71; two stores are also in Latvia. The goods sold include general construction materials, interior decoration materials, sanitary ware, heating and ventilation products, hardware products, electrical products and construction chemistry.

Company history:

1994

On 14 November AS Desintegraator and AS Famar-Kauba establish the joint undertaking AS Famar Desi.

1995

The company opens its first construction material store in Tallinn at Peterburi tee 71.

1999

The trade mark Ehituse ABC is launched. 

1995-2008 

Stores are opened all over Estonia. 

2008 

On 1 April the Optimera Group of Saint-Gobain Distribution Nordic obtains Famar Desi AS; the company continues to use the name Ehituse ABC.

2009–2011

Development of processes in the company according to the international principles of the Saint-Gobain Group. 

2010–2013

Reconstruction of stores and active introduction of trade mark and product selection to private and business customers.

2014

The company celebrates its 20th and the trade mark its 15th anniversary.
